At the beginning of 2000, strange domed temples began to spring up like mushrooms on the street corners and trash containers of Bristol. They were the start of the graffiti phenomenon known as Sickboy. Interested in what the artist Hundertwasser called the natural resoration of the city, the organic shapes and freehand lines of his painted temples imitate nature in the way they flow against the structured lines of the city. Sickboy currently works freelance as an illustrator, and has recently exhibited canvas work alongside Banksy, David Shrigley, D*Face and Modern Toss.
